The accommodation was excellent, with plenty of free parking. The pub had a relaxed feel and friendly staff, and both dinner and breakfast were very nice and plentiful. Well worth visiting and staying over.

The staff were so helpful with our booking and the special requests for my daughter’s graduation meal. We had a table for 10 yesterday, and the cosy venue, delicious food and lovely service made it a great celebration. We’ll definitely come back.

Went back with six of us for another Sunday lunch. Even with a few specific requests, everything was straightforward, and the roast was just as good and generous as last time. The service is first class, so I’ll be back again.

The rooms are really comfortable, and there’s a good range of drinks to enjoy indoors or out in the garden. I’m always happy to come here. The staff go out of their way to help, the menu is fantastic, and the mushroom stroganoff is 10/10. Breakfast’s a lovely start to the day too. Special mention for the specials and puddings, and I’ve never had better trout.

My husband really enjoyed the pork and black pudding lasagne. I had the steak and ale pie, proper pie with loads of lovely steak, excellent shortcrust pastry, and fresh veg with mash. Really good.
