Carla at reception was lovely and sorted out my booking when I realised I'd picked the wrong day. The place was clean and felt safe, and it made a great value overnight stop. I'd highly recommend it as a convenient, cheap stopover. Thanks, Carla! (13 October 2025)

For a Travelodge, this was really good value, with a comfy bed, clean bedding and pillows, fluffy white towels, and nice staff. Gladys gave me a big smile this morning. I liked the decor and new look, and the TV worked okay. The room was tidy, clean, and in an ideal location, though the furniture was all on one side in an odd layout. If I'm being picky, there was dust on the wall above the bed and the wardrobe's top shelf. The extractor fan didn't work properly. There were no nets, so I couldn't draw the curtains without losing privacy. Passing cars didn't bother me, but lights from a nearby garage shone in all night, so blackout curtains would be a good idea. It was good that the fire alarm wasn't flashing in the room, as it is by the front door. Two large trucks were blocking the fire exit, which wasn't ideal.

The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable despite being just off a busy road, and the staff member was really nice. I'm very happy with my stay. Just be aware that the Starbucks across the road closes around 5-6, so you'll need to go into Andover for things, though it's not too far.

I stayed in room 15 and found bed bugs in the bed. Nothing was done about it. I emailed them and got no response. The wall was covered in dust, and the breakfast box had out of date milk and cereal that was both out of date and open. Nothing was done about that either. I wouldn't use this place unless you'd checked the bed for bugs.

It's on the A303, but you can only approach from one direction. Rooms aren't refreshed if you stay more than one night, so the beds aren't made and no cleaning is done. You have to ask for fresh towels or tea. It is cheaper than most places in the area, though.
