The drive to the park and ride was short, and it worked well for us. We even spotted a few attractions along the way, including monk cross farm. The owners gave us helpful advice about where to park in york and made the place feel warm and family-run. We were there for a week on our honeymoon, and it was such a relaxing getaway. Our room was beautifully decorated, and the building itself was impressive. I enjoyed reading about its history in the welcome pack. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from, and the cooked option was spot on.

The rooms had lovely decor, and I really liked the atmosphere of the hotel. Its location was great, too. Breakfast offered variety and suited everyone in the family. I'd happily recommend it for either a short visit or a longer stay.

It can be easy to drive right past The Old Rectory, so finding it took a little attention. Once there, we felt very welcome and had a lovely, homely stay. York is a reasonable distance away, and we'd certainly return if we got the chance.

A great base for exploring, with a lovely location and accommodation. We only stayed for one night, but the hosts were lovely. Very highly recommended.
