The alpacas in the field beside the garden were the highlight of our break. We stayed in Saffi’s cottage with two teens and our dog, and there was plenty of room for all of us. It was clean and well equipped, with lovely walks nearby. We made good use of the games room, and the garden hot tub and indoor pool were fab. We’d definitely stay again.
The grounds and games areas are great, and Saffi’s Cottage was just as advertised. Highly recommend it.
We hardly got to enjoy South Coombe itself because we were there for a family wedding, so we missed out on the pool and jacuzzis. The children did have fun in the games rooms, though. The cottages were spotless, with roomy, well-equipped kitchens, and there was plenty of space and flexibility for our group of 15, across all ages. It’s a peaceful spot in the lovely Devon countryside, with good views.
The cottage was warm and spotless, and everything we needed was just a few steps away under one roof: the pool, sauna and family room. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful, and all the facilities were great. We’ve just spent a week at South Combe Cottages and would recommend it to everyone. 😎👊
The shepherds hut was perfect for our two-night stay, with everything you could want inside and out. We spent our evenings relaxing in the hot tub, and also made use of the gas BBQ and chiminea. The games room was great fun, too. Such an amazing spot, and I’d absolutely recommend it to couples after a romantic, relaxing break.
