A brilliant pub, with great food, a lovely atmosphere and a cracking fire. The landlady was super patient with our big group. Heartily recommended!

The location worked perfectly for exploring all the trails and walks. Just remember there isn’t a shop in or near the village, so you’ll need to pick up snacks on the way through. We stayed five nights and were comfortable the whole time, with wonderful beds that made for good sleep. Every team member was polite and more than accommodating, and the customer service was 10/10. Breakfast was really good, as was the dinner menu, and the prices were very reasonable. My wife needed to keep medicine in one of their fridges, and the staff were happy to store it safely and bring it out whenever we needed it. We’d stay here again.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely bed and a good bathroom and shower. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and everything well prepared. I had cod and chips for dinner, though, and that wasn't great. The batter was soggy and the meal very greasy. Still, it was a good experience overall.
