We stayed in the spacious, comfortable family room, with a lovely en-suite and very comfy beds. Acorn Lodge is well placed for Torquay and Paignton attractions, and it’s also close to the railway station if you’re travelling by train. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty of options, including a full English. Our hosts were lovely and made us feel welcome. There’s good parking on site and on the street too. Thanks for a lovely weekend and for making us feel at home.

Breakfast was nice, with a good variety. Deb gave us a friendly welcome, and the rooms were modern and very clean, with a lovely en-suite and a shower with great pressure. The property is well looked after, and check-in and check-out were easy. It’s perfectly placed for walking to local attractions. Highly recommend. Amy and Allan

Debs and Mike made excellent hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotless and beautiful, and there was plenty of free parking. Check-in was easy, with everything explained clearly. Breakfast was cooked perfectly each morning, and we’re already looking forward to returning.

What a fantastic holiday my partner and I had at Acorn Lodge. Debs couldn’t do enough for us, and Mike was a great, friendly host too. It’s a lovely place to stay. When we return to the riviera, we’ll stay at Acorn Lodge again. Thanks, Debs & Mike, it was a pleasure.

We were lucky to get the chance to stay at Acorn Lodge, and enjoyed it so much that we’ve booked again for next year. Mum had the downstairs double, updated to a very high modern standard. I stayed in the upstairs single, which hasn’t been updated yet but was presented very well. The whole house was exceptionally clean and had a comfortable feel. Debs and Mike were so warm and friendly that we felt we’d known them forever. They clearly care about giving guests a first-class stay. Breakfast was fresh, with locally sourced produce and sensible portions; we especially liked the fresh fruit salad. It’s a good location for a walk through the Abbey grounds to the seafront. Debs recommended fish and chips from Fishanados, and that was a great tip.
