Wayfarer Guest House

Rooms, breakfast and location were all five star. I’ve just come back from an excellent weekend away with friends at the Wayfarer Guest House. Kathy and Barry were great hosts and made the stay feel just right. We’ll definitely be back.

Kathy and Barry looked after us like family during our few days at Wayfarer Guest House in early July. They were warm, welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the home-cooked breakfast each morning, and the whole place was unbelievably clean. The location is quite central, about a 10-minute walk from the station. We highly recommend this lovely guest house and will definitely visit again.

The beds were supremely comfortable, and the location makes this a great base for visiting Torquay. It’s a short walk from the station, close to the beach and waterfront, and there are buses to places like Kents Cavern just around the corner. We stayed at the Wayfarer for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kathy and Barry are terrific hosts and great company. They helped us settle in, shared useful tips on where to go and how to get there, and we enjoyed pleasant, uplifting conversations with them in the mornings and on a couple of evenings. There’s a wide range of breakfast options for different tastes and diets, all cooked to a first-rate standard. It was a lovely way to start every day. For anyone visiting Torquay, I’d recommend it first, and I look forward to staying again.

Barry even came out to us while we were sitting at the front with our coffee. We enjoyed our stay at this fabulous guest house, with spotless rooms and tea and coffee facilities. Barry and Kathy were very pleasant and accommodating hosts, and we’d gladly recommend them. Wishing them all the best for the future.
