We had the Junior suite and felt thoroughly spoilt. It came with a separate kitchen with a hob and oven, its own eating area, and two TVs. From our window we had lovely views towards France, which Ida pointed out when she showed us to the room. We arrived late because of the ferry, but she still took time to tell us what there was to do. When our return ferry was cancelled, the owners were very accommodating and found us a room. Such a gorgeous guest house, with lovely owners.

The decor was interesting, and the place was clean, with a great position and lovely people. It was perfect for a family. We left the window open for the sea air, and the puddy-tat adopted our room overnight. All good!

The owners were lovely and welcoming, and the bus into town is just a minute's walk away. We stayed in the junior suite for three days after six days camping at rozel camp site. We'd planned to book a hotel, but found undercliff and were so glad we did. The suite was gorgeous, with everything we needed: a walk-in shower, separate little kitchen, lounge area with two sofas and a TV, plus a king-size bed and another TV. The bay view was fantastic, and the swimming pool was lovely. bouley bay is only a minute's walk away too. I'd highly recommend undercliff for a quiet break as a couple or family. Our self-contained Attic apartment was gorgeous, with sea views, and we could use the heated swimming pool. The property is in a fantastic location, about 200yds from the beach. During our stay, the famous Hill Race went past the guest house, giving us a front-row view of motor bikes, Kit cars, Rally cars and some Sports cars, plus a souped-up yellow Ford Anglia. It was all very exciting!

The accommodation was nice, and the location was quiet with good views. Still, I had mixed feelings. There’s a large, closed, run-down hotel next door. We were self-catering, so I can’t comment on the food. The oven didn’t work properly, and the toilet seats kept coming loose. I had to screw them back on several times, which felt quite dangerous. I didn't dare tell the owners in case we were blamed and sent a bill, so they were still broken for the next residents. Maybe that's why they were broken for us too, since no one dares report damage when they think they'll have to pay. I also didn't feel completely welcome with the children, even though mine are quite well behaved. The owners seemed overly concerned we might damage something, which we didn't.
