The place itself is lovely, with plenty of ales to choose from, lots of breakfast options, and a delicious evening meal. We only stopped because we got a puncture 70 miles from home, but the staff were so kind, especially the women at check-in and the young man behind the bar. They even found us two phone chargers. My partner and I are already planning another visit to explore Rutland water with our dog. After how well they looked after us, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. The team is a big part of what makes the business work.

The food was beautifully cooked and presented, just wow. We came for my partner's birthday, and the staff brought out dessert while singing Happy Birthday, which capped off a lovely visit. Chloe was friendly and knew the menu well, and the gentleman who also helped us was just as good, though I didn't catch his name. From the moment we arrived, everyone was polite, good-humoured, and welcoming. It was our first visit, but definitely won't be our last. 10/10.

One of my favourite spots. The food is good quality for the price, and there's a decent choice on tap. You can sit and eat at the bar or choose between two separate restaurant areas.

The staff were lovely and the place was clean, but I really didn't rate the roast dinner. I can't see why people praise it so much. The food just wasn't up to scratch, so sadly I wouldn't go back.

We had lunch from the Set Menu, which offered good choices and was great value. The food was delicious, and the service has never let us down across several visits. At the end, the team surprised my friend with a scoop of ice cream, strawberries, and a birthday candle, then sang to her while other diners joined in. It absolutely made her day. Thanks, team White Hart.
