The cooked breakfast was a real highlight, easily one of the best I’ve had in years. Nothing felt like it was missing, and it set us up nicely whether we were heading for the early ferry to Stornoway or a day driving through the Highlands. We also happened to be there while a whale and her calf visited the sea loch each day, which was a lovely bonus. Kathleen made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and showed us around her charming guest house. We’d called ahead with an arrival estimate, so there was already a roaring fire in the lounge. In the evenings there was another cosy fire and a complimentary dram of whisky, just right after time out in the Scottish countryside. The beds and duvet were so warm and comfortable that I didn’t miss my own bed, which is unusual for me. We had to shift our booking by a day because of a funeral, and our host was happy to accommodate us. Thank you. The guest house is within walking distance of Ullapool’s shops and restaurants, with plenty of free street parking out front. Kathleen runs a friendly, homely place and I’d happily recommend it. We stayed just before Christmas 2025.

The breakfasts at Creagan were the best I’ve had at a B&B, and the rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. The lounge is wonderfully cosy too. It’s a handy base for exploring this beautiful part of the world, or a good spot if you’re catching a ferry from Ullapool. Kathleen’s service was on another level. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The location right in Ullapool is hard to beat, and the rooms are cute, tidy and well equipped, though on the small side. Kathleen was a lovely host, and breakfast was fantastic. We loved staying at Creagan and would definitely come back.

The Scottish breakfast was a treat, especially with Stornoway black pudding. Our room was very comfortable, and Kathleen was warm and welcoming. She also gave us useful suggestions for places to eat and things to do locally. Creagan Guest House is a perfect place to stay in Ullapool.

The breakfast was beautifully tasty, with lovely eggs from the girls in the back garden. Harris the dog was friendly too, and kept Kathleen company while she worked. We had a ground-floor room with wood lining that felt a bit like a cabin. It was spotless, with a huge, comfortable bed, and really deserved more than a one-night stay. The downside was hearing the upstairs floor timbers creak when the other guests got up during the night. This was our second visit since covid, and we’ve enjoyed staying here again.
