Breakfast at Hill Crest had lots to choose from, and every option we tried was delicious. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the setting was peaceful while still making the lakes, walks, and main attractions easy to reach. Jane made us feel at home from the start, and we enjoyed our whole stay. Thanks for the flapjacks too. We hope to come back next year.

We had a quiet, comfortable short break at Hill Crest, and the place was spotless. It's in a handy spot for the Lakes while still feeling peaceful. Jane, the owner, was keen to help with anything, and her breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

Jane was so easy to chat with and had lots of suggestions for places to see nearby. Our room was lovely and spotless, and she greeted us with freshly made scones. Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning, with home-baked flapjack left in our room each night. We had a great time.

We spent a week at Hill Crest and really enjoyed it. Jane was a brilliant, helpful host with lots of knowledge about the Lakes. I got there by public transport, and the bus stop is only about five minutes away. Hill Crest is beautifully kept, with spacious, immaculate rooms and thoughtful touches like tea and a scone on arrival. Jane was generous and helpful, and clearly knows the area well. Breakfast was first rate, with several options to pick from. A wonderful B&B, and an easy five stars from me.
