The food comes quickly, in big portions, and still tastes like a lovely home-cooked meal every time we visit. The landlords are making this into a traditional English pub, and they don’t compromise on taste or quality. There’s a good-sized menu with a nice range of dishes, and the service is lovely and friendly. I’d recommend the pub and its food to anyone who’ll listen.

The Blowing Stone is in a beautiful, peaceful village, and we’ll definitely visit again. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal last night in a welcoming atmosphere for people and dogs alike. The garden at the back was tidy, sheltered and private, with colourful lights. The chunky chips were crisp, portions were just right, and the scampi, fish and steak were all cooked as ordered.

I chose well when I stopped at this pub with my young daughter on a warm, sunny September evening. The food was excellent, the service wonderful, and we were greeted in a friendly way. The setting was great too. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Took my parents here for Sunday lunch and the food was amazing, really well cooked and served in huge portions. It’s a great, friendly pub. We’ll definitely be back!

After a walk along the Ridgeway, we were so glad we came down to this lovely pub. The owners are extremely kind, and it was great hearing about their plans for the summer. They’re showing the Six Nations at the moment, and there’s a great build-your-own burger on the menu. We’ll absolutely be back. Give it a visit!
