This was my second roast here, and I’ve had beef both times. It was great. I usually avoid beef roasts elsewhere because they’re often disappointing, but I’m happy to order it here. The soup was good too, though it needed a little more salt, and the focaccia balls were cold in the middle. Dessert made up for that: a really nice rice pudding and sorbet combination. Good beer selection as well. A great pub overall.

The Greyhound Inn made our dog very welcome, and she loved the nearby walking routes. The location is lovely too, with a nature reserve just a short walk away and a chalk brook running through it. We spent three wonderful nights here. The accommodation was comfortable and luxurious, with a lovely bathroom, a shower over the bath and excellent quality toiletries. The food was absolutely wonderful. We were happy to have dinner in the pub, and breakfast was a particular treat, with delicious homemade breads and pastries alongside a really good choice of cooked options.

We had the Gourmet Taster Menu at The Greyhound Inn, Letcombe Regis, and all eight courses were a delight. The food was amazing, as always, with creative cooking, seasonal ingredients and impressive technique. Warm, attentive, flawless service made the evening feel special and relaxed. For a top-tier meal with brilliant hospitality, I highly recommend booking. Consistently superb!

I’d stay here again. The food was fancy and lovely tasting, the service was good, and breakfast had lots to choose from. I didn’t explore the area because I drove down late and left early. My room was cosy, with a comfy bed, enough pillows, a TV, tea and coffee, and somewhere to hang my clothes. The bathroom was clean, with a lovely shower and complimentary soap, shampoo, body lotion and other toiletries, which you can also buy from them. The guy who welcomed me was lovely, explained everything well and offered me a paper and a vacuum flask of milk for the tea and coffee in my room. I was here on a work trip to visit another local site. One small surprise at checkout was having to pay then, as I thought I’d booked it on the work credit card through the website. I hadn’t read the small print, so that may have been my fault.

Sunday lunch was very good. The meat in the excellent roasts was cooked perfectly, with generous servings, and the trimmings were great too. Service was friendly and efficient. The gravy let it down a little, as it was too thin and short on flavour. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious, light and very tasty.
