Austin Guest House

The family are very friendly, and the place is always clean. I’ve stayed a couple of times now, first in room 3 and then room 6, and have found it nice and comfortable each time. I’d recommend it to others and am looking forward to my next stay in Warwick at this Guest house.

For the price, this was a brilliant guest house. I only stayed one night and didn’t have breakfast, so can’t comment on that. My room was on the top floor and was amazing, with Sky Sports and movies. Definitely recommend.

The room was spacious, which was nice, but it was dirty. The brown bedding made it hard to tell if it was properly clean. There was mould around the windows, and the wardrobe fell apart when I tried to hang up my clothes. When we left, there was nobody around to take the keys and no key box or instructions, so I left them in the front door to make sure the lazy owner had to get out of her chair for the £60 they charge for hostel style service. We rang ahead, got no answer, waited and tried again, still no answer and no answering service. At the guest house, I rang the bell, rang it again, knocked, and got no response. This was at 17:30 hrs, even though the earliest check in was 16:00 hrs. I went round the back and banged on a window, then a lady opened the door. She didn’t introduce herself, just said she couldn’t hear the bell. Lies or she is deaf! She took me to the room and disappeared. For this price, stick to a chain hotel where you know what you’ll get. Days Inn isn’t far away. Stay there if you’re going to the Warwick Castle.

Clean and tidy, this is a basic room only guest house. It’s ideal when you’re working and just need somewhere to sleep for the night. Parking is limited, but there’s plenty of space on the road opposite.
