The room was quiet, with a pleasant woodland feel around it, and the staff were great. For the price and the location I needed, this worked really well. It’s still a bit tired, but there’s free parking and decent free Wi-Fi, plus shops, coffee and food next door, though those are pricey. A motorway services hotel might not sound appealing, but this one did the job.

The bed felt like a kitchen worktop, and the curtains were coming loose from the rail. The shower tray needed a thorough clean, so bring flip-flops or Crocs, and the drain could use some cleaner to help it empty properly. It was a last-minute booking, so I got what I needed. The room was plain, but clean and tidy, and checkout was easy. Breakfast at the services was good enough to get the day started. Reception staff were excellent, friendly to chat with and happy to answer my questions. Nothing fancy, but I had a pretty good stay.

The room was quiet, which was a plus. The woman at reception was very nice, though the check-in and checkout times were enforced pretty strictly. I also hadn’t known when booking that parking would cost £5. It was okay, I guess, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.

The whole family enjoyed staying here. The room was clean and well looked after, with plenty of towels, fresh bedding, soap and shower gel. The staff were super friendly and welcoming.
