Finding a place to park took a while, since there isn't allocated parking and we had to drive around. Once inside, though, the apartment was wonderful, with two double bedrooms, one en suite, a large living room and a huge kitchen stocked with everything we needed, including a dishwasher. There's a laundry room guests can use as well. It was a lovely, warm and homely place to stay. We had a great time and can't wait to come back next year. Five stars.

The building is beautiful, and the apartment was clean and spacious. There are plenty of stairs to the top-floor flat, but chairs on both landings make handy resting spots. Our main problem was that there was no hot water. It wasn't mentioned in the welcome text, and the cleaners told us the owners knew before our stay. Four adults trying to wash and shower in cold water was difficult. The beds in the front room weren't great, so we chose to sleep on the sofa instead. That was our choice, but it was more comfortable than the beds. The window in that room is screwed shut, so opening it at night isn't possible. I texted Dawn, but got no reply, which was disappointing.

The apartment was clean and tidy, and we felt it was good value for what we paid. The living-room furniture was a bit tired, and the shower wasn't the best, but we had a good stay overall. The location is nice. Free parking on the road can be hit and miss, though there's a pay-and-display car park right opposite. We stayed off-season, so I can't say how busy it gets in summer.

We had a large party, and this was easily the cheapest apartment or hotel I could find that could fit everyone. It's in a classic house that might be a little dated, with a great spot for the beach, pier and pubs. There are a lot of stairs up to flat number 7, which could be an issue if you have mobility problems, but all in all it was very good.

We spent a week in WSM, and the basic facilities were clean and did the job. It's between the Marine Lake and the Grand Pier, so local events are easy to get to.
