Smiths

For a coach driver, it makes a big difference when a hotel understands group travel and coach logistics, and Smiths Hotel handled everything brilliantly. I brought a group of more than 30 passengers, and Tina and her team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Check-in was smooth, meals were served on time and were good quality, and the team made everything feel easy. They were organised, attentive, and happy to help. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well presented, and the passengers all gave positive feedback. The whole team clearly takes pride in the work. Thanks to Tina and everyone, I'll definitely bring more groups back.

We came back midweek after Sunday lunch with friends, this time for the regular menu, and enjoyed both visits. The welcome and service were five star each time, with a good choice of drinks and a cosy feel inside despite the wet and windy weather. It's a seafront hotel, so the friendly staff fit right in. The food gets 10 out of 10.

The tea was delicious, and we enjoyed the coffee and hot chocolate too. They brought an extra jug of milk in case we wanted more for the hot chocolates. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We stopped at Smith Hotel The Waterfront for a hot drink, and it's ideally placed on the Weston-Super-Mare seafront, looking out over the promenade and the Pier. There's a car park one block down, which is really convenient.

The sea view was beautiful and the room was clean, but sleep was difficult. Cars and people were very noisy until midnight or 1:00 a.m., and the restaurant lights were bright while it stayed open until 10:30. Closing the curtains blocked the light, but the room was so hot that didn't help. There was a fan, though it was very dirty and barely effective. Air conditioning in the rooms would be good.
