We got back at 2 pm, parked, and an hour later our car was blocked in. It's 8.40 on Sunday morning now and we're still stuck, with no sign of anyone moving. I told reception we planned to leave at 7 am Sunday. The receptionist came to look, and it turned out one car belonged to the boss and another to the night porter. I think some apartments may have more than one space. The website says there's one space per apartment, but parking here is a nightmare. Don't be fooled by the car park, it feels like a trap. We were in the Ashcombe apartment. It's lovely, spotlessly clean, warm, with comfortable beds and daily service available, but it's a bit big for two and has steps everywhere across its two levels. Not good if you have arthritic legs and feet.

The sea view is amazing, and we loved another fabulous weekend away at Victoria Mansions and Weston Super Mare. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. They walked us over so I could park before check-in, and unlocked the gates for us. Breakfast at the hotel next door is good value too. We've come back for a second year, rebooking during each stay, and have already booked for next year. The place is spotlessly clean. We haven't had anything to complain about, apart from hearing the people upstairs, which isn't Victoria Mansions' fault in an old building. Thanks for a great weekend.

We paid £280 for accommodation that was outdated and cold, and left after just one night. There was no hot water, we couldn't put the heating on, and a ridiculous draught came through the window. The dining setup was a pub table with two computer chairs. In the bedroom, the blinds wouldn't open, so they had to stay closed or be pulled up. That's not great when you're on the seafront. All we got was an apology, with no refund offered. I definitely won't recommend this place.

The cottage has a good location and is nice, but the bed was horrendous and the Internet was bad. We reported the connection problem, but it wasn't fixed. The TV remote was frustrating too, taking about 20 presses before the TV would come on. A huge outdoor light above the bedroom window makes it feel like daylight outside. A new bed and a few tweaks could make this so much better.

The bar area could use an update, but we had a lovely stay. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and really nice. Breakfast was very good and the staff were helpful.
