Birch House B&B

The hostess made us feel very welcome, and her homemade breakfast was delicious. Getting around was easy too, with a bus stop just downstairs and direct routes to the city centre and Durdle Door. Our room was spacious, thoughtfully furnished, and quiet at night, with everything we needed. The shared areas had loads of style and character. I especially loved the restaurant, where those huge windows look out over a gorgeous garden. Such a nice place to sit. We loved staying here and would highly recommend it.

We only stayed one night and I wish we'd booked longer. The hosts clearly put a lot of care into making guests comfortable. Our host was welcoming, cheerful, and flexible, and it showed throughout the stay. The house and garden are both beautiful. Our room felt restful, the bed was excellent, and the bathroom was so lovely I wanted to take it home. It felt like a high-end boutique hotel, and was excellent value.

There was plenty to do in the guest lounge, with books, DVDs and CDs available to borrow, and the family gave us such a warm welcome. They have two lovely little dogs, too. Our room was gorgeous, the bedroom temperature was comfortable, and the bathroom and shower had loads of space. Free Wi-Fi was included. Breakfast was delicious, with a great spread of fruit bowls, Greek yoghurt, cereals, drinks, and a fantastic full breakfast. A big thank you to the family for such a wonderful stay. We'll be back soon.

We had a peaceful couple of days, with time to study and relax, and the food was delicious.
