Jurassic Apartments

We had great weather over Easter and really enjoyed the campsite. The views are lovely, and the coastal path runs right beside the site, making for a great walk into Weymouth. People there were friendly, everything was clean and tidy, and we didn’t have to wait for the showers or toilets. There’s plenty of space in the washing-up area too. It was quiet by 10pm, and dark at night because the pitches aren’t illuminated. Water works are happening at the moment and should be finished soon. The site has no control over them, but they didn’t interfere with our stay. We’d definitely return.

It’s a working farm, yet so peaceful you wouldn’t guess. The owners were very friendly and the site was lovely and clean. The shower had the best water pressure and temperature. We had a lovely time, and so did our dog. If you enjoy walking, Weymouth is a nice walk away and there’s no need for a car. We’ll definitely be back.

My daughter and granddaughter went for afternoon tea and the Alpaca experience, and they had an amazing time. The girls knew so much about the Alpacas, and we got to have tea with two of them. The cakes were delicious, and the setting was beautiful. I can’t fault it. We can’t wait to go again and would definitely recommend it for a day out.

My dad used to stick to cheap chain hotels when we travelled together, partly because twin rooms were easy to find and partly because he liked knowing what to expect. At some point I persuaded him to try B&Bs, and we’ve stayed in all sorts around the country since. Swallow's Rest was one of the loveliest by far. We booked the B&B itself, not the campsite or self-catering apartments. The building and gardens were beautiful, the hosts were fantastic, and the food was delicious. Our twin room worked perfectly for a father and daughter, and the location was great for keen walkers and birders visiting places like Chesil and RSPB Arne. I love animals and I’m autistic, so getting to say hello to the goats and all the other animals was a highlight. The tasty cakes each day were another treat. If we hadn’t had plans to visit places during our short stay, we could happily have spent hours in the garden with the animals, haha. Watching little birds flit around the garden over breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. I don’t usually eat much in the morning, but what I had was extremely tasty. The granola was some of the nicest I’ve ever had! We couldn’t fault a thing and would love to return sometime. :3 Cody & Chris.
