Kirkby House

The owners were very accommodating with my questions, and the house lived up to what we expected. We’ve been to Whitby four times and stayed somewhere different each trip; this was the one that suited us best. There are four floors, as you might expect in Whitby, and all those stairs kept us fit! I had a great week here with the older grandkids and our Welsh terrier. Everyone had room to relax on their own or spend time together, and we made good use of the terrace. At first, finding the parking space was stressful because we hadn’t realised it was further away, not beside the left-hand side of the house. Once we knew where it was, it was no hassle. Sorry we forgot to write in the visitors book! The kitchen windows have beautiful views.

The harbour views are beautiful, and the place was clean and very comfortable. Just be aware it’s spread over four floors, so it won’t suit you if stairs are difficult.

We loved this beautiful house and its fantastic views, and didn’t want to leave. It’s clean and cosy inside. We’d recommend staying here.

The views are lovely thanks to where the property sits, but getting around outside means slopes or steps, and there are three flights of stairs inside too.
