There’s always a warm welcome from the locals, and a great selection of bar meals and fresh local seafood. The village inn is popular with locals, visitors and tourists, so it’s best to book ahead.

The apartment was immaculate, and it looked like it had been refurbished recently. Ours was huge, with three double bedrooms, a family bathroom, a shower room, an ensuite, a fully equipped kitchen, utility room and a lovely lounge. We wanted somewhere near John O'Groats, so this worked really well. We were out all day and back late, so didn't try the pub downstairs, though the food reviews look great. Thanks to the owners and staff for having us. We took a few photos just before checking out 😊
We only used the campervan parking, £10 a night, and didn't stay at the hotel. The food was superb, especially the vegan burgers, which were the best I've had. Portions were big and prices very good.
The locals were so friendly and a good laugh, and the staff were polite, helpful and professional. I ordered something that wasn't on the menu and was really pleased with both the food and service. Can't remember the last time I had such a good time. Thanks for a great visit. You must drop inn. I'd recommend it 110% and will definitely return. 🏴👍
The Scrabster Landed fish was beautiful, and the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Keiss Fried Chicken (KFC!) was very good too. There are also curries, burgers, fresh salad and some vegetarian choices. It's a good quality local place with no frills. Recently refurbished, it isn't luxurious, but it is clean, welcoming and friendly.
