The “Just Us” package covered everything for us and our 8 guests at our very small wedding at Briery Wood in early June 2026. We're so glad we chose Briery. The staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive, and the food was fantastic. All of us enjoyed it. Our three dogs were included in the celebrations, which meant a lot, and they even had roast beef and sausages brought out especially for them. The bridal suite was a lovely large room with a balcony overlooking the gardens and a very comfy bed. The shower temperature was a bit temperamental, but that hardly took away from how wonderful the stay was.

We had a superb afternoon tea today and really enjoyed chatting and laughing with the friendly, helpful staff. We ate in the beautiful garden room. The weather wasn't good, so we couldn't make the most of the lovely gardens. I'd highly recommend this stunning country hotel.

From our first phone call, the communication about our micro wedding was excellent. The hotel isn't glitzy, but it's comfortable and felt like a home from home. The gardens and surrounding area are beautiful, and the staff did a wonderful job making our small wedding feel special. Our 4 guests were looked after so well, and there was plenty of excellent food and wine. I'd recommend it without hesitation for a wedding or a vacation.

The staff are what make this place so brilliant. Ellie, Steve, Dan, keshia and the whole team were helpful, respectful, positive, friendly and lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made our small wedding really special. The room was beautiful, with amazing garden views. The venue suited us perfectly, though they also have other nearby venues on the lakes for larger weddings. The location is ideal, and the food was fantastic, from breakfast and afternoon tea to a 3-course dinner. Some of the best we've had. We'd happily recommend it for a wedding or a few nights' stay, and we'll be back next year.

I was given a stay here as a birthday present, and we came for the Easter break. The hotel has plenty of parking, and the staff were really friendly and attentive. The receptionist wasn't familiar with the surprise drinks I'd ordered for the room and added two more, which we appreciated. They also helped bring out a cake after dinner one evening. The food was tasty, and the room, bed and shower were all comfortable. A great stay. It's about a 10-minute drive to central Windermere and 2-5 minutes from a local garage and Spar.
