The house has a rustic feel and sits somewhere quiet, though the busy coastal town is only a 10-minute drive away. The location was great, but the place could use a spruce-up: there were cobwebs all over. The beds were uncomfortable, with old mattresses and thin duvets.

We spent the bank holiday weekend here with three teenage boys. The quirky three-bedroom cottage was warm, had good facilities and a garden. It's a great spot in the south of Windemere, and surprisingly quiet despite being on the main road around Windemere.

We had a great weekend in lovely surroundings. The house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.

Loved the place, especially the fantastic features and the lovely living room with its log fire. Great place.
