Sandra was a brilliant host, and the location is hard to beat for the price. I’ve stayed twice and would recommend it to anyone. The rooms are a good size, clean and have what you need for a short stay. There’s a small, lovely garden with seats for a bit of fresh air. Parking is tight, but manageable even with a large car. I wouldn’t choose anywhere else in Windermere or Bowness now.

The host was amazing and took time out of a busy day to chat with us. Our room was spotless, warm, comfortable and well equipped, and the bed was the best I’ve slept in. Fantastic location too. I highly recommend it and will definitely return. Thank you 😊

Lingwood Lodge feels like a lovely home away from home, with fantastic views. Sandra was so helpful and always available with assistance or information about the area. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back.

The owner was away while we were there, but the woman looking after the place was welcoming and gave us useful local advice. Parking is available, though the spaces are narrow for bigger cars and sit on quite a steep slope. We spent two nights here while exploring Lake Windermere. It’s around the middle of the lake’s eastern side, within walking distance of shops and the ferry. Our room was clean, spacious and well kept, with a large window looking out onto greenery. The Border biscuits were a nice touch, as they’re a favourite of mine, and there were plenty of DVDs to borrow from the upstairs landing. The mattress was softer than I prefer, but very comfortable, and I slept well both nights. We were very happy with our stay at Lingwood Lodge and would consider coming back when we’re in the area.

The host was lovely and gave us plenty of useful information. The room was really nice, and the location made it easy to get to the ferry, shops and restaurants. My friend and I stayed here while on a cycling holiday, and I’d highly recommend it.
