The location made it easy to get out to the Lake District’s lovely scenery, with hiking trails and picturesque villages nearby. Our hosts made us feel at home from the start. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. We also looked forward to the delicious breakfast each morning. A fantastic, relaxing stay, and I’d happily recommend Elim bank.

Getting around without a car was so easy: Bowness and Windermere were both an easy walk, there were lots of shops and restaurants, and the bus stop was only two minutes away. Symmoane and Adam were kind, thoughtful hosts and looked after us so well during our three nights. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. They were upfront before we booked that there wouldn’t be a cooked breakfast. What they did serve was hearty and delicious, and the homemade compote was honestly among the best I’ve had. When they heard it was my birthday, they added some lovely touches that made the stay feel extra special. It’s a beautiful place run by wonderful people. We’d love to return and will definitely recommend it.

For the price, it was okay, and the guest house is close to the centre. It does need some tidying up and looks a bit shabby, though. The bed was the worst I’ve slept in for a long time. The springs dug into me, and it really needs a mattress topper.

Adam and Symmeone did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We were welcomed warmly and shown to a cosy, clean, tidy room with all the comforts covered. Elim bank is a short walk from the lake and Bowness pier. Breakfast is continental, with a big choice of porridge and other cereals, toast, croissants, teas, coffee, and juices. There are three tables in the breakfast room, with different sitting times. If I had to pick a downside, it would be the single-glazed windows on a busy road, though you soon get used to it. Thanks, and good luck for the future!

A very good B&B. We’d definitely stay again next time we’re up this way 😊👍
