The food was amazing, and everyone commented on it. Staff were attentive to all our guests, and they served us in a separate room with plenty of space for our 20 guests. We'd booked a restaurant for our wedding meal from over 300 miles away, so we didn't know what to expect. Our time there was perfect and exceeded all our expectations.

Crafty baa is a must to visit, just across the road, with pubs right on the doorstep. Lake Windermere is about a 10-15 minute walk away, or you can catch a bus from the stop outside. We were welcomed warmly when we arrived. Since it was Easter, there was a card in the room, handwritten by the owners to my wife and me, along with an Easter egg. A nice touch. Service was excellent, always with a friendly smile, and the food was very nice. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The sticky toffee pudding was a lovely finish to the evening. We arrived by train, the station is within walking distance, and had lunch on the patio on a beautiful day. The fish n chips and chicken shnitzel salad were so good that we came back for dinner. Ian served us both times and was so personable, we were happy to chat with him. Such a warm welcome.

We arrived quite late, but the team still made us feel very welcome. We had the Lake District lamb, turkey and duck confit, and everything was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. A lovely dinner and a wonderful experience!

On 18th Jan, we had a lovely family Sunday dinner here. We were a large group, and they set us up with a fantastic table in a room of our own. Excellent food, impeccable service and a great experience all round.
