I booked this hotel for my dad while he spent a couple of days riding his motorbike around the Lakes. He absolutely loved it. He said the hotel was lovely and the breakfast gorgeous. Thanks so much for giving my dad a lovely, well-deserved night away ❤️

The location is handy for both the lake and a variety of places to eat. I had a comfortable, clean room and a great breakfast, and was given a warm welcome at this beautiful period hotel. I'll definitely go again.

A few minutes' walk gets you into Bowness, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. The place was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was amazing. You can see the thought and care put into making Oakfold House comfortable. We'll definitely return, and stay a little longer next time.

The hosts are so welcoming, and it really feels like a home from home. The rooms are well equipped, with a great selection of teas and coffees in the room as well as extra varieties downstairs in the lobby. There are plenty of on-street and off-street parking options. You're only a five-minute walk from the main part of Bowness, with its bars, cafes, and the lake. We stayed two nights, and breakfast was 10/10 both mornings. It was also nice to have a little chat with the host each day.

A lovely, welcoming place to stay, with a clean, warm room and everything you need in it. Breakfast was perfect, and the owners, Robyn and Chris, are lovely and welcoming. It's a short walk to the centre of Bowness. I'd definitely recommend it.
