A lovely house in a great spot for exploring the Lake District. At night, we even caught a glimpse of the meteor shower in the dark skies.

There’s plenty to explore by car, and buses run frequently from the end of the drive. The place is conveniently between Ambelside and Windermere, beside Brockhole leisure complex and close to the lake where the pleasure boats set off. Wonderful location.

We had a fabulous holiday here. The place was clean and well equipped, with a lovely garden in a nice area. It’s about equally far from Windermere and Ambleside. Well worth visiting, thank you.

We couldn’t resist trying the old fireplace, even in May. It’s a lovely cottage, well equipped and in a handy location.
