We loved our night's stay and will recommend it to others. The room had lovely attention to detail, and the bathroom was high quality. Parking spaces were very handy, especially given the prime location. A lovely host and very quick communication too. See you again soon! Lydia

Our room had a terrace, which was just perfect. The guesthouse is amazing, with beautiful rooms that are spotlessly clean and smell lovely from the moment you enter. It felt safe and secure. We'll definitely book again.

We booked a Superior Double Room and found it spotless on arrival, with everything needed for a great stay. This is a perfect little guest house in a really convenient spot, very close to Windermere.

The bathroom was huge and very clean, with plenty of toilet roll, and the location is great. Still, our return visit was disappointing and probably our last, which is a shame. We had stayed in the separate cottage a couple of years ago and enjoyed it more then. I'm not sure whether the guest house has changed hands. The cottage is spacious and it's nice having private space away from the main building, but some areas now looked grubby and neglected. The banister at the top of the stairs needed wiping, and the mirrored bedroom furniture was cracked in several places. On our previous stay there were a couple of cans of pop in the fridge, a nice touch that wasn't there this time. It was very cold and we couldn't get warm even with the heaters on. A couple of blankets for the downstairs seating area would have helped, instead of having to bring the duvet down from upstairs. The duvet cover had marks we couldn't identify, and there was a fake eyelash stuck to the bottom. Also, a bright green light from the fire/emergency light shone into the bedroom and disrupted our sleep. We don't remember that being an issue before. I understand the emergency lighting is needed, though perhaps it could be positioned better.
