White Rose

The room was named after the Orrest Head walk, and the staff explained the whole route. I liked the mountain pictures on the walls too. The room had comfortable beds, a big window that let in lots of light, and solid storage for clothes and other things. The bathroom was clean, though there was no soap, my only downside. The staircase was easy enough to walk up, and the door locks were simple to use. My friend and I had a great two-night stay and were welcomed by lovely staff.

Graham was friendly and helpful while we were there over Easter weekend. The room was spacious, comfortable, and really nice, and the location was excellent. If you want somewhere cozy and affordable, this is a lovely place to stay.

The rooms were clean, and it’s a short walk to the high street or about 30 minutes on foot to Bowness. Graham and his wife served a beautiful breakfast and shared so much information about Windermere that we got off to a great start. We really enjoyed the stay and their hospitality. Thanks!

My daughter and I had such a lovely few days at the White Rose that we couldn't find a single fault. Graham and his wife made us feel welcome and gave us great advice. Graham suggested an all-day bus saver, which worked well for us. We left the car parked on the next street for our whole visit and walked a short way into town. We found a great pub there called the Crafty Baa. Go, you won't regret it. We'll be back in the new year.
