We stayed on site the night before the wedding, which helped us feel relaxed and enjoy every moment of the day. Everything ran smoothly, and the team were attentive and organised, always there to make sure things were how we wanted them. Thornton Manor is stunning, full of character and beautifully looked after. The grounds gave us amazing photo opportunities, and the Great Hall made a memorable setting for both the ceremony and reception. Our guests kept saying how lovely the venue was and how much they enjoyed the whole experience. Thornton Manor exceeded all our expectations. We couldn’t have picked a better place to get married, and would highly recommend it for a special wedding.

We booked a room here for a family wedding on 10 May 2026, Shyam and Bhavani's Wedding. The views from the fabulous rooms were amazing, and the grounds had loads of greenery and space for photos. The venue is in a lovely setting. Molly and Carl were especially helpful, as was the owner, who was there to guide guests. A must-book spot for a wedding. Thank you!

Thornton Manor made my brother’s proposal during the ball such a magical, memorable evening. They went above and beyond, and we’re so grateful. I got married here 17 years ago, and it’s still the most breathtaking venue I’ve ever visited. The ball was a great family evening and a lovely way to kick off Christmas. I’d definitely recommend it.

Molly, our coordinator, was incredible and kept the whole day running smoothly and right on schedule. She paid attention to every detail, which let us relax and enjoy everything. She even checked in on us that morning while we were getting ready, a lovely touch. The rest of the Thornton Manor staff were lovely and helpful too. We had our ceremony in the library, then the wedding breakfast and evening reception in the music room. Both spaces looked and felt amazing, and the venue created a really special atmosphere all day. From our first visit, we knew it was right for us, and it ended up being the only venue we considered. It was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and would highly recommend it for a wedding.

We came to this Christmas event for the second year, and it was another wonderful evening. Thornton manor was beautifully decorated, and the staff were attentive, polite and helpful. Everyone at our table praised the food’s quality and flavour, and it was piping hot too. An outstanding venue. Highly recommend.
