Oakdale Apartments

The flat was very cozy and comfortable for two people, one of the coziest places I’ve stayed, especially at Christmas. I was there over the Christmas period on a business trip with my partner. The washing machine and dishwasher got plenty of use, and the heated bathroom tiles were much appreciated. The location speaks for itself: it’s next to the park, the train station and several gyms.

Cathy’s personal attention to the properties she manages is what makes these places stand out from similar accommodation. I’ve stayed in many of their apartments and have always been satisfied. They’re clean, well serviced, and equipped and stocked to a very good standard, so they feel like home. The locations are great, and some have the nice extra of an on-site concierge team and gyms.

The apartments are very nice and clean, and the location is perfect for commuting to Waterloo. The train station is two minutes away, with direct trains to London taking 25-30 minutes. Cathy was a great host during both booking and the stay, and helpful with all my questions. Highly recommended.

We were close to the station and wondered if train noise would be an issue, but it wasn’t. The windows insulate well, and the host had left earplugs for anyone in our group who sleeps lightly. We hadn’t booked parking, but one space was offered at check-in and came in handy, since parking can be difficult around the station. From there it’s 30 minutes to London Waterloo. Woking centre and the High Street are within a five-minute walk, with restaurants, pubs, a shopping mall and grocery stores nearby. The apartment itself was the best-prepared short-term rental we’ve stayed in. For a week, it had all the appliances, kitchenware and household things we needed to feel at home. It was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms.
