We were really happy with our stay at the Travelodge in Worcester. The room was roomy, clean and comfortable, and the central location meant everything was close at hand. The restaurant was the best part, especially because of Karen. Whenever she's there, the place feels better. She keeps everything running smoothly and greets everyone with a smile. The food arrives quickly, and she's so friendly and professional that we enjoyed every meal there. We missed her when she wasn't working. She clearly cares about her job, and it makes us want to return. Staff like her make the restaurant, and the whole place, feel special.

I've stayed here before and had a much better experience, so this visit was especially disappointing. The only real plus was the central location, though parking costs £12 per day. When we arrived in the daytime, things initially seemed fine for a Travelodge, but the staff member on duty couldn't explain how to get to our room or find the evening entrance. Once we reached the fourth floor, the smell of marijuana hit us as soon as we went through the key-fob door. The corridor was in bad shape, with stained carpets and food waste outside several rooms. Our room wasn't any better: the floor had stains that looked like blood, the bathroom smelled strongly of urine, and fold-out beds had been set up for no apparent reason. We couldn't open the window for fresh air because nearby extractor fans made a constant loud humming noise. Standards have clearly dropped.

I was there for work with around 20 colleagues, and checking us all in took almost two hours. The receptionist was very sweet, but didn't seem to know what was going on. At one point, the barmaid looked in the fridge and told my colleague she didn't know which bottle was the red wine. The room was average, so I wouldn't stay again. The location is good, though it isn't signposted well. At night, the main escalators and front door are closed, meaning you have to go down a corridor past a gym to get in.

For the price, it was very good and I'd happily stay again. The room was basic but clean, with most of what I expected and needed. It wasn't easy to find because the signs aren't clear, and there was often nobody at the front desk.

Travelodge was a brilliant stay for me. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the central location was easy to find. The staff were great, especially Charlene at the bar, who made me feel welcome while I was travelling alone for work. A really good experience!
