I stayed here on a business trip and really liked the old-style property and its wooden beams. The owner and staff were very friendly. My room had sloping ceilings, so someone who struggles to bend to avoid hitting their head might not find it ideal, but I loved it. It was quiet overnight, and noise wasn't an issue. I had dinner there too, and the cottage pie was part of a deal. The meal was very nice, and I'd recommend the place.

The room had real character, with a great shower and an amazing bed. I slept better than I have in weeks. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and Martin cooked it to order. He was friendly and easy to talk to, too. Such a lovely find, and we’ll definitely stay again. I can’t recommend this B&B enough 😊

Getting here from the highway was easy, and our host gave us a warm welcome. The room had plenty of storage, plus an armchair, desk and pouf. Breakfast was phenomenal, the best English breakfast we’ve ever had. One small snag for taller people: the bed’s foot panel can make it feel cramped. We had a wonderful stay.

Martin was a kind, eager-to-please host, but that didn’t make up for the state of the place. The breakfast looked nicely laid out, though it was greasy, and the coffee was poor quality. Inside and out, the inn felt very tired. My small room was up in the eaves, with old items everywhere, a little dormer window and only a tired roof to look at. It felt like sleeping in a storage cupboard. There was woodworm throughout the room, and the old mattress had springs I could feel. I stayed one night and gave the owner my feedback before posting this.
