South Downs Rural Retreats

The pod had everything we needed, including WiFi, a kitchen, TV and heating, and the hot tub was great too. It’s on a farm with lovely South Downs views, and the owners kept us updated by email and were really helpful with directions and anything else we needed. There are plenty of pubs nearby, a Toby Carvery about ten minutes away, and Brighton isn’t far. We’d wanted to do this for ages and had a brilliant time. We’d definitely come back.

We had our morning coffee in the hot tub and loved the views. The Shepherd’s Hut was just as advertised, in a beautiful spot with lovely scenery. After arriving, we took Emma’s suggestion and went to the Gun Inn for dinner. The food was delicious, and we were well looked after. It’s a lovely pub if you’re heading into Findon Village. We hope to return soon.

The pod was warm, well equipped and perfectly placed for getting out on some hilly runs. We loved the jacuzzi even when the weather turned. We’ll be back for sure. Erin

We spent our wedding stay at South Downs Rural Retreat with some of our guests, and the peaceful countryside views made a beautiful setting for such an important occasion. Our guests were impressed too. Emma and Rob, along with their lovely family, welcomed us warmly and made everything feel relaxed from the start. You could see the care they’d put into all the little details. The accommodation was spotless and beautifully kept, with thoughtful touches that made the stay feel easy and special. Emma and Rob did so much for us, yet stayed calm and easygoing, which put us at ease throughout. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a lovelier place. We’re so grateful, and can’t recommend South Downs Rural Retreat enough.
