Clevelands Country House

I always enjoy coming back to Cleveland house. Mornings with a cuppa in bed, looking out across the fields in the peace and quiet, are a favourite. There’s plenty of room to spend time together, as well as space to get away for a bit. The kitchen is so well equipped, even better than mine, and opens onto a lovely terrace that’s great for a BBQ. The house is warm, welcoming, and clean, and the host is lovely to deal with. We’ll be back!

We’ve had several really enjoyable family stays at Clevelands County House, and we’ll return again. It’s peaceful, with lovely views, and close to the excellent footpaths over the Downs to Godshill. The house has lots of space, and Marie is a wonderful host. Thank you.

The grounds are lovely, and the house was clean when we arrived. We had a great stay with our family and extended family from the island. The beds were so comfortable. Absolutely amazing house, thank you SO much!

The fencing is great for dogs, but this was a very poor fit for our group. It’s a shared house with two other rentals, and the drive and garden are shared too, although it’s shown as one house. The dining area is just an MDF partition, and you can see through the door lock to the other side. There were slugs downstairs and damp, and the downstairs toilet lid won’t stay up. The TV is 59 years old and the Wi-Fi doesn’t work. It’s listed for 10, but it isn’t suitable for 10 adults, six at most, plus three kids. There’s one bathroom for 10, and the kids’ shower room has no power, only fits a child, and isn’t en suite, it’s between two kids’ rooms.
