The room at the back was peaceful despite the busy road, and the beds were really comfortable. Everything was spotless. The plug sockets seemed to be on the wrong side of the room, though. We found the restaurant across the car park disappointing: limited food choices and very slow service. Happy hour was meant to run from 5 to 7pm, but the bar and restaurant didn't open until 5:30. If we came back, we wouldn't book the evening meal.

The hotel itself was fine, but I'd eat somewhere else. Breakfast sausages weren't cooked properly, and after eating the fish I was violently sick. Dinner was a mess too: our meals arrived at different times, one never came, and I had to choose something else after everyone had finished. The bill was wrong three times.

The kids even got a little surprise, the staff set up an activity for them to find a token in the room and exchange it for a gift. Everyone was super friendly, parking was plentiful and free, and breakfast was delicious, cooked to order.

The building could use some attention, it looked a little run down. Our room was clean, though, and the staff were friendly and happy to help with anything. The shower temperature control didn't work, but luckily it was stuck on warm rather than cold.

The chef didn't show up on two of the three nights I stayed, so there was no cooked breakfast, even though it was included in the price. The staff were kind, and the place was surprisingly clean for a Premier Inn.
