Our family has marked life events here for more than 50 years, and it's great to know the venue is still reliably good. Hailey was a superb host and made us feel very welcome. A great place for Sunday lunch or a big family gathering.

We had a really pleasant evening with friends. The pub is fairly quiet for its size, which made it easy to talk without much background noise. The food and service were good and great value by today's standards. The one downside was seeing people vaping in the bar.

The dining room is lovely, with plenty of space between tables in a beautiful old English coaching inn. Clive and his team were so friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed the food too. They couldn't have been more attentive without getting in the way. Thank you, Clive.

We needed a last-minute lunch for nine when friends came to visit, just before Christmas, and they managed to fit us in. Clive was very friendly and great with the kids. The food was good and fairly priced.

A handy little local pub with a good range of dishes and friendly staff. There wasn't much atmosphere, but it was a good place to stop for a quick pint before heading off.
