Breakfast was fantastic, freshly made and excellent, and the guesthouse is close enough to the Minster and other local attractions that we could walk almost everywhere. My friend and I were lucky to get a room at short notice after someone cancelled. Dean and Gary were very friendly, and we felt at home straight away. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in York.

We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived at the Botham Gardens Guesthouse. It’s just a ten-minute walk from York City centre. Our room was clean and nice, with a large, comfortable bed, and breakfast was generous with plenty of choice. We had a lovely four-night stay in York and would definitely come back.

The owner Adele was very friendly and helpful, and Jennifer cooked breakfast. The rooms were lovely, very clean, and on a quiet street. A lovely place to stay, and top marks from us. Highly recommend it.

The staff were nice, and the location was fine, around 15 to 20 minutes from either the railway museum or the town centre. My room was by the garden, so it got a bit noisy when people walked past.
