Franklins Apartments

Booking was easy, and Kirsty knew exactly who we were when we arrived. The organisation felt very professional, and we hope to return to York and choose Franklins again. We had a wonderful time and were sad to leave. The location is central but quiet, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Franklins Apartments is stunning throughout, beautifully decorated and finished, and spotlessly clean. The beds and sofas were super comfortable. Everything we could think of was provided, from bathrobes, reed diffusers, and shampoo to champagne and flutes, plus every kitchen utensil we needed. There was also a lavish welcome hamper.

The management team is responsive, genuine, and accommodating, and we look forward to our next visit. We enjoyed another wonderful stay at Franklins Apartments in York. It feels professionally run like a hotel while still having the comforts of home. It's tucked away in a quiet spot just off one of York's most charming streets, a welcome place to rest after a day visiting and sightseeing. Great restaurants, coffee, pubs, and shops are nearby. They left a lovely basket of goodies, essentials in the fridge, a set table, inviting decor, and plenty of storage.

Kirsty replied to emails very quickly and was helpful. The apartment was well managed, very clean and sanitised for COVID, and had nice heating that kept away the chilly nights. We stayed in room five, a spacious two-bedroom place with comfy beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and a separate laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. The shower's water volume and pressure could be better, but that didn't stop me enjoying the stay or wanting to return. Everything in York city is an easy walk away, and the Shambles is almost at the doorstep, which makes it convenient for Harry Potter fans to explore. The room quality and service felt hotel-level, better than most four- or five-star hotels we've stayed in, and we slept very well. For a stay of a few days in York, I'd definitely recommend it over a hotel.

The place was central, with everything right on the doorstep, and I'll be returning to stay at Franklins next year. It felt cosy and like a home from home, with everything we needed. The apartment was exceptionally clean, and there was a lovely welcome hamper with fresh produce and a cheeky bottle of alcohol chilling in the fridge.
