Pinfold Cottage

We’d absolutely book again if we come back to York. The hosts communicated really well, and Jack was around to answer questions and give advice. I didn't meet Ellie. Our room had everything we needed, including a comfy bed, a good hot shower, hot drink facilities and cold drinks. There was a self-serve continental breakfast in a lovely communal dining room. We had a parking space early, then caught the bus into the city from a stop a two-minute walk away. It took about ten minutes. The cottage is perfectly placed for visiting York and the surrounding areas.

Jack gave us a lovely welcome at Pinfold, and the room was just right for us. It was clean, had what we needed, and had a nice cottage feel. The location worked well too, with an easy bus ride of about ten minutes to and from the city centre. We were really happy with our stay. Thanks so much!

Breakfast and snacks were very good, and we liked being able to help ourselves. The location was brilliant, with a bus stop across the road, though we took Uber into the centre and back for just a few quid. Our host was very friendly. They let us leave our bags in the room and park early, then keep the car there after checkout, which gave us more time to see York. The accommodation was lovely. We’d recommend Pinfold to friends and would stay there again if we return to York.

Getting into York was easy, whether we took the bus from right outside, drove in under ten minutes, or walked along the river for about half an hour. Pinfold Cottage was ideally placed for exploring. Jack and Ellie were amazing hosts. I loved chatting with Jack at breakfast each morning; his recommendations were helpful and talking with him felt like chatting with a friend. Breakfast had a great range of continental options, and we appreciated the snacks and takeaway coffee for the day. The rooms were a good size, and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return.
