The room was a standard Premier Inn one, but very clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Staff were welcoming and friendly when we arrived. We got a bargain rate of just over £40 a night for a family room over five nights around New Year. The hotel was pretty quiet, so I’m guessing that’s why the price was so good. Some areas are starting to look a little worn, especially the corridor carpets. The vending machine was broken the whole time, though we didn’t need it. We had breakfast at the Beefeater next door on the first morning. It was fine and good value for two adults and two kids, but we didn’t fancy eating there every morning. I just wish the rooms had a small fridge or something to keep fresh milk for a cup of tea.

Breakfast had a nice selection, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Eliana was especially kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with very comfortable beds and appliances that all worked perfectly. It made for a comfortable stay, and I’d happily return.

Parking was plentiful, and breakfast downstairs was a great way to start the day. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful. I had a lovely chat with Eliana, who was kind and knew the surrounding area well. I’d definitely recommend it.

The stay itself was good, but the service afterwards has been nonexistent. We left an iPad charger there and have been trying to reach the hotel for more than 6 days without any response. I sent two emails and got no reply, and nobody answers when I call. I also tried the WhatsApp chat service, but the team just tells me to contact the hotel. Very poor experience!!!

The staff were fantastic, friendly and hardworking. The rooms are spotless, though the corridors look tired. Breakfast was good, freshly cooked and with plenty of choice. The restaurant was a letdown: the portions were very small and it was quite expensive for what you got. I’d suggest eating elsewhere in the evening. The bar closes around 10-15ish on weekdays and 9-15ish on Sunday.
