The Calabash has a lovely mix of old Caribbean charm and modern luxury. The gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained, meals often come with live music, and management still hosts a weekly welcome drinks for new guests. Our suite, #1, had a great bay view and everything we needed. It was luxuriously furnished, and we loved having breakfast on the balcony. The beach is secluded, with plenty of loungers and spots in both sun and shade. You can snorkel right from shore, and the aquamarine water was wonderfully warm. We loved the view of the boats in the bay. At Rhodes Restaurant and the Beach Club, every course we tried was delicious, with some great catch of the day choices, including Lion Fish. The staff clearly take pride in working at the Calabash. Everyone we met was friendly, helpful and willing to do whatever we needed. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We also booked Swedish massages at the Calabash Spa and thoroughly enjoyed them. The therapists were brilliant. The concierge helped us arrange taxis into town for places like the local spice market, as well as car hire. We drove to Grand Etang Lake and the Seven Sisters waterfalls, both worth seeing. We also went snorkeling with Scuba West Indies, the dive centre based at the hotel. The underwater sculpture park and reef marine life are definitely worth a look. We had an incredible stay and are already planning another trip. I could go on for pages about what makes this hotel so good, but I’ll leave it there. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. You won't regret booking a stay at the Calabash.

The beach setting looked lovely, and there was live music from a really talented local musician. Everyone was friendly and made me feel at home. I stopped at the Calabash for dinner during a recent trip to Grenada. I started in the bar with the best local margarita I've ever had, then moved to a nice table. The food was tasty, with vibrant flavors from local ingredients and spices. Service was warm, attentive and welcoming. I didn't get to try dessert, unfortunately. Highly recommend!

The front desk took care of all our transportation arrangements, and the teams at Nori and The Beach House helped make the stay feel complete. Everyone greeted us warmly when we arrived, especially Stevens and Elle, and we felt at home right away. Our accommodations were spacious and luxurious, with a large balcony, comfortable couches and chairs, fine bedding and fluffy towels. The mini bar was fully stocked with many complimentary options, and there were Elemis bath products too. From the emails before arrival to the staff waving goodbye when we left, everything felt worthy of more than five stars.

At Rhodes, the food and service were spectacular, and the pool somehow felt like it was always there just for you. Everyone goes out of their way to help. This place is perfect in every way, the best.

A relaxed, intimate place with private lodge-style rooms and a special spot by the beach. The hotel is family run, the food tastes fantastic and is organic, and the staff are friendly. There's a local diving company next door. Once you've found it, you'll want to come back.
