Capt. Harris Suites

We stayed in #1 Gittens Cottage before and after our seven-day sailing trip. The five-minute walk to Grand Anse Beach was convenient, and the WiFi and AC were great. The house had everything we needed overall. Bedrooms were standard, with firm double beds and closets stocked with extra linens and towels. Cars, dogs and people could be heard late into the evening and through much of the night. Ear plugs would've helped.

This is a clean, comfortable, convenient, budget-friendly hotel with an outstanding crew, though it isn't a fancy place full of amenities. My room was small but comfortable and clean, with a very comfortable bed, small fridge, dishes, microwave, kettle and smart TV. The view from the window and outdoor sitting area was gorgeous. There's 24-hour security on site, and beaches, a supermarket, bank and dive shop are all within walking distance. The staff went above and beyond when I was in a difficult situation. Captain Harris went out of his way to meet and welcome me, and told me he'd take care of anything I needed. Everyone working here was wonderful. If I return to Grenada, I'll definitely stay at Capt Harris again. Thank you to everyone there!

Working in hospitality, I tend to notice a lot, and I couldn't fault this place. The communication, service and support were amazing from start to finish, and it almost felt like home. Barbra and Co made the trip and my daughter's birthday memorable. I'll be looking to stay there on future trips!

The location was good, but the place needs better upkeep for basic fixes. It seems they sold half the property. The first night was rough: shower water got into the room, and black water sprayed from the AC unit onto me while I was sleeping. The room was dirty. We asked to change rooms the next day and got one next door, only a little bigger. Be careful with the shower heads, you could get a shock. The WiFi was horrible and only worked sometimes. Don't count on the TV either. It seemed they were having trouble keeping up with the Amazon Prime and Netflix payments, so YouTube was your best bet.
