We chose this small private resort for a quiet, relaxing anniversary, and that’s exactly what we got. We walked along the clean, peaceful beach past several other resorts and were glad we picked this one. The water is crystal clear, and a short swim from the beach takes you to an artificial reef that’s starting to flourish, with lots of beautiful fish. It’s pricey, but worth it for us. Our Anthurium pool suite had its own plunge pool, covered patio, and lovely private garden. We were about 50 steps from the beach and 100 from the restaurants. The property is beautifully kept, the gardens are manicured, and the accommodations are first class. My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here, and it did not disappoint. From arrival to departure, the staff treated us with kindness and respect, from the gardener we saw on our early morning walks to the restaurant wait staff and admin team. The meals were always exceptional, and they prepared everything the way we preferred. The staff marked our anniversary throughout the resort, including arranging a private beachside booth for our evening dinner. Thanks to everyone, especially Kambia, Kellowna, Lucy, Lyndon, and Danie.

I went for a friend's mom's 80th birthday dinner, and the service was excellent. They kept the drinks coming and made sure the table was looked after. The facility looked very well maintained, though I didn't explore beyond the restaurant. There seemed to be a good flow of customers, which boded well. It was a bit warm, even for me as an islander. More fans to move the air around might help.

Really nice place, good food, and nice people. If you're setting up a tour, have a look at the pictures I left. There's a local guy who knows some really great spots the tourists don't go to. If someone suggests Belmount, maybe just skip it. It isn't great.

We were seated very close to the kitchen, and the door slammed loudly all evening. It really affected the atmosphere and made it hard to enjoy our meal. The food and service were generally good, but the price didn't feel justified by the experience. We'd made a reservation and specifically requested a birthday cake for my husband's celebration. When we arrived, they couldn't find a reservation under our name, so the cake hadn't been prepared. That was disappointing, especially for the occasion. We shared all of this with the manager during our visit, and hope the restaurant takes the feedback into account for future guests.

The beach was pristine and quiet, a lovely place to unwind or take a walk along the shore. My suite was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with a private patio just steps from the beach. Waking up to the ocean each morning felt like a dream. Meals were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Breakfast with an ocean view and dinner in the main restaurant both felt special. The resort itself is stunning, and everything had an effortless, serene feel while still being polished. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome and well looked after. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive, clearly proud of their work. It was one of my best vacation experiences. I left relaxed and refreshed, already thinking about when I could return. Spice Island Beach Resort is a true gem, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
