Mestia panorama

The host was so kind and helpful, and our deluxe double room looked out over the village. I’d stayed at three places in Mestia, and this was easily my favorite. It was less than half what similar rooms elsewhere cost. The hotel is set off the main street, so there’s a short hill to walk up from the town bus station. We managed with two suitcases.

Jessi and her husband were the best part of our stay, so friendly, down to earth and always helpful. We had access to a well-stocked kitchen for cooking and keeping food, including a fridge. The dining room has beautiful views, and I’ll remember afternoons by the window. The place is close to the centre but away from road noise. Everything felt solidly built with good materials, which isn’t common in Georgia, as far as I know. Our room was big and clean, with wood finishes, a good mattress and a spacious bathroom. This is one of those places I’ll remember. ❤

We were three hikers passing through for one night, and the basic but comfortable room was just right for us. The private bathroom was excellent, with a hot shower and strong water pressure. From the room we could see the Svan towers in central Mestia, and there’s a balcony to sit on. The hosts welcomed us warmly and let us leave our car in their yard while we hiked for several days, then came back to town to collect it. Highly recommended.

We had a great breakfast before setting out on our first hike, and the shared kitchen and dining space was handy for evening games and drinks. The guesthouse is a good base for the Mestia to Ushguli trip, with a superb view of Mestia’s towers. Our hosts were really friendly, and their smiley little kid is super cute. Communication in Georgian and English was easy. They also let us keep my car safely nearby for the four days we were hiking. The rooms are fairly basic, though the hot shower was great, and having plugs beside the bed made charging phones and cameras easy.
