We spent an amazing three weeks at Guesthouse Keselo. The rooms were comfortable, the internet worked great, and the food was delicious. Nino was such a kind, loving host, and the staff were lovely too. The three kids, Lasha, Megie, and Kato, were super fun and kind. We played soooo much together! The garden out front was a lovely place to sit, with different spots and even a hammock, and the views across Omalo and the mountains are beautiful. Parking was easy, right by the gate. The room was on the small side and you could hear through the thin walls, but having a private bathroom out here was a real plus. The grandmother who runs Keselo Guesthouse was so caring and helpful, and she speaks great English. She was happy to chat about Tusheti, Georgian food, local culture, and daily life. We ate really well too, everything was freshly cooked. Definitely worth a stay.
Nani was a wonderful host, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. We spent one night here in August 2022 while traveling by motorcycle, and having secure, convenient parking inside the backyard was a big help. I like guesthouses like this because they bring you close to Tusheti's culture.
The food was generous and delicious, and our room was cozy and well looked after. There’s a lovely view from the garden, plus a place to sit by a bonfire in the evening. The grandmother caring for guests was warm and attentive. It’s a nice spot between Lower and Upper Omalo.
Nino and her family were amazing, and I felt right at home. Best hotel in Omalo, I recommend it.
