Hotel Beaumonde Garden

The terrace pool was a good spot for sunbathing, not noisy, and the staff were friendly. I came here just to use the pool. The cocktails were weak and a bit overpriced, though that's what you'd expect at places like this.

The rooms are enormous, with broad terraces and balconies looking out over the city and mountains, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The setting is peaceful, with trees and birds, and has the feel of an aristocratic villa. Staff were welcoming, especially the smiling, helpful manager. We also liked the restaurant and breakfast, though they don't offer Halal meat. The room rates felt like good value, and there are two pools, one free and one paid. A few things could use attention: balcony doors that lock, Halal food accreditation, the capacity of the second elevator, updated furniture and corridor decor, bath mats, and toilet water hoses. George at the front desk did his best to keep me happy with the limited resources he had, and I appreciated that. Aside from him, the place was disappointing. The owners seem to have put their attention into the pool areas while basic room amenities were neglected. The furniture is far too old, the AC barely cools the room, and breakfast falls short of the standard they set. There are plenty of other issues too. Thanks, George.

The rooms were moldy, and the beds were broken and noisy even when I sat on them without moving. The water can be shut off without warning, and the hotel is understaffed, so I wouldn't feel safe if something happened. The TV had only Georgian and Russian channels, no English. The pool was never ready because it was always being treated, yet there was garbage in it. The advertised hot tub and pool table weren't there at all. Breakfast was the same every day and seemed to get older and moldier. Tourism agencies call this a 4/5-star hotel, which is a big lie. It used to be rated 3 stars, and now it doesn't have a rating.
