Century House On Vera

After the room had supposedly been cleaned, it looked just as dirty: the bed wasn't made, and the bathroom and other areas hadn't been cleaned. They'd only replaced the towels. Those towels were stiff and stained, and there were spots all over the carpet and walls. Not worth a penny. Avoid it.

On a budget, this is a lovely base in Vere, with restaurants, coffee shops, and nightlife on a charming street lined with trees. My room was new, clean, and simply designed, and the bed was really comfortable. Housekeeping was every bit as good as you'd expect at a well-run hotel.

We found it good value, and it wasn't too far from the main attractions. Reception is open around the clock, so checking in or out at any time was easy. There's also a 24/7 shop nearby if you need something. The drawback was that during our five-day stay, nobody cleaned the room or changed the towels or sheets.

Our room had a roulette theme, with a matching bathroom that was a lot of fun. The shower was great too, and the room was very comfortable. Staff were really helpful, the location was excellent, and the price was good for what we got. We'd definitely come back.
